The trailhead is accessed by a 24 km drive on the Pinnacle Forest Service Road. Total driving time is approximately 1 hour from Radium Hot Springs or 1 hour 45 minutes from Golden.
From Radium, travel north on Highway 95 for 17.5 km. Turn right onto the Kindersley–Pinnacle Forest Service Road - or - From Golden, travel south on Highway 95 for 85.5 km. Turn left onto the Kindersley–Pinnacle Forest Service Road.
Forest Service Road Directions
After leaving the highway, set your odometer. At km 7, stay left at the fork to continue onto Pinnacle Forest Service Road. At km 15, stay right to avoid Branch F. Follow the main road and do not turn onto any branch roads. The trailhead is located where the road ends at km 24.
Access involves travelling on forest service roads. Road conditions can change quickly and hazards exist such as rough gravel surfaces, fallen trees, washouts and potholes. A moderately high-clearance vehicle with AWD is recommended.
Two large water bars cross the road near km 23 and the parking area is shortly after. Please park respectfully and leave room for other vehicles to turn around.

From the parking lot, walk upstream and cross the aluminium foot bridge. Turn right onto the decommissioned logging road and follow it for 800m. At the sign, turn right onto the single-track trail leading uphill and into the forest.
From there, the trail continues for roughly 6 km. The trail crosses Pinnacle Creek several times, with a mix of bridged and unbridged crossings, before reaching the lake and teahouse.
