Hi We're Drew & Emilie
Our story has meandered through far away places, but we are thrilled to have landed so close to home.
Since meeting on a gravel airstrip in the Canadian Arctic, we’ve built a life together living, working and managing remote operations in Nunavut, Greenland and the Yukon. From the beginning, the dream has always been to find a place of our own to pour our hearts into and share with others. That dream came to life in 2025 when we purchased Diana Lake Lodge from the Bourn's family.
Built in 1956, the cabin has had many lives over the years and has quietly weathered decades of deep winters, shifting seasons, and changing hands. In the 1970's and 80's the cabin operated as Pinnacle Meadows Cabin and we have since transitioned back to that name. We are beyond grateful to be part of a small chapter in this little cabin's long and layered history, and hold deep respect for those who came before us.

A valley boy at heart, Drew grew up in the Okanagan chasing sunshine, fresh fruit, and grueling physical endeavours. As a teenager, rock climbing became his first introduction to the mountains, eventually leading him north to work in mineral exploration in the rugged ranges of the Yukon.
These formative years set the course for a life in the North, where he has spent the past fifteen years guiding in Nunavut, Greenland, and the Yukon. Along the way, Drew became an ACMG-certified ski guide and continues to follow winter north into the polar regions. He has also worked for Avalanche Canada as an avalanche forecaster, and is involved in education and outreach in remote communities.

Born and raised in the Bow Valley, the daughter of a conservation biologist, Emilie grew up with an intimate understanding of the pressures facing mountain ecosystems and the importance of preserving wild places. After studying documentary film and a brief stint with the Alpine Club, she sought to better speak the language of decision-makers and pursued a Bachelor of Commerce at UBC.
She later guided in the Canadian Arctic, where she met Drew, and together they began pursuing dreams of their own. Since then, she has spent countless hours playing logistics tetris in very remote places, has built booking systems and basecamps – but most of all, always loves a good problem to solve.
